Graduating Magna Cum Laude from McMurry University and The University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Odom proved his commitment to education early in life. He earned a fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in colon and rectal surgery after completing his general surgery residency at Bexar County Teaching Hospital.
